HP Pavilion zv6000

I bought this laptop with my wife back in the summer of 2005. I really didn't know what to pick, so the associate at our local Best Buy store picked one that he thought we might enjoy. My sister had an HP desktop, so i thought I'd go with what I know.

It has a 500Mhz processor with 80 gigabytes of hard drive space. It also had Windows XP Home Edition preloaded in it.

The best part when I first got it was that for it's time, the laptop had a nice 15.6" screen that was great for watching DVDs at home on my desk. The speakers had great quality and could be turned up pretty loud.

When I type on the keyboard, it doesn't click and clack like regular keyboards on desktops. The touchpad is very responsive and doesn't irritate me like the newer models that are very sensitive.

It has been almost 5 years and it still runs well. It has of course, slowed down because of all the programs I have installed now. It now takes about 4 minutes to boot up completely from the moment I turn it on until all the start up programs have begun.

The bad thing about my laptop now is that the screen won't stay up by itself and needs to be propped up because the hinge is broken. Plus, I had to buy an external CD burner since the original internal one gave up on me already.

I still use it to this day as I am using to type this review. Overall, I would rate it an 8 out of 10 and would recommend it to a friend or a stranger.
