HP Compaq Presario CQ61 340EV

I bought HP Compaq Presario CQ61 340EV from Islamabad on 590 US $ on 1st feb 2010. Nowadays its price is 540 US $. It have quite high specifications as compared to other laptops having the same price. Its main specifications are :
1) Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.1 GHZ T4300.

2) 3 GB Ram.

3) 320 GB Hard Disk

4) 1.3 Mega Pixels Webcam.

5) 15.6” inch Vivid LCD.

6) Intel GMA 4500MHD ( 64MB Dedicated ) .

7) Super Drive.

8) Wifi/Bluetooth And Card Reader.



It came with genuine windows 7 home premium and some other software like antivirus and MS office etc. Its very fast and reliable.

Its build quality is very good unlike other laptops focusing on style and looks which are mostly having problems with lcd lid but case is different with this one.

When you open or close its lcd lid, it gives you a feeling that it will never give you any problem. Its performance is very good, its starts up quickly and runs every program very fast.


Its Lcd is very bright and clear, touch pad is smooth and its keyboard is very nice and feels good to type on it. It has altec lansing speakers so its sound is clear and loud. It doesn't up even if I use it 24 hours. It's battery life is very good. It have 3 usb ports, all of them are 2.0 version. The thing to be liked the most about this laptop is the build quality,


The only bad thing in it is that its design is not that good so it doesn't attract anyone by physical looks, this is much to hate about this laptop.

Improvement in its design will greatly effect its sale because some people purely don't buy it due to its looks despite its reliability and performance.


My experience with this laptop is very good, I suggest to all that don't go for style and looks but value the inner power and reliability.

I would prefer HP laptops which are very good, they give you better specifications and reliable laptops on the same price as compared to other laptops in the market.
